The Youth Group from St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church in McAlester, Oklahoma came to St. Joseph Church on March 23rd to present a living Stations of the Cross. These young people travel the State of Oklahoma and points beyond during the Lenten season to make the Stations come alive to those who see them. Father Leonard Higgins is the Pastor at St. John’s, and he traveled with the group.
In the attached photos, Father Higgins first addresses the audience. He was followed by a seven-minute dramatic prelude. After the Stations were concluded, the youth returned to the altar to symbolically demonstrate Christ’s resurrection.
