Sister Rosa Elena Perez, a junior Missionary Carmelite of St. Teresa Sister serving St. Joseph Church in Conway, renewed her vows of poverty, chastity, and obedience at
the St. Joseph School Solemnity of the Immaculate Conception Mass on December 8.
Nuns joining the Missionary Carmelites of St. Teresa must renew their temporary vows for five consecutive years before they become perpetual.This marked Sister Rosa's second renewal. She chose this Mass for her renewal as a way to promote religious vocations at the school.
Sister Rosa renewed her vows in the hands of Sister Yolanda Padron Serrano, a representative of Provincial Sister Ruth Magdalena Martinez Limon. St. Joseph Associate Pastor Father Robert Cigainero blessed Sister Rosa afterwards - (Submission by Ray Nielsen)
