About the School

The St. Andrew’s Schools of Evangelization is a collection of schools throughout the world that share a vision, methodology and program of formation.

They share the Great Commission entrusted by the Lord Jesus Christ to his disciples:

“Go into the whole world and proclaim the Good News to all creation”
(Mark 16. 13)

They took the name of the apostle Andrew because it expresses their mission: to bring “Peters” to Jesus who serve, preach, and love the Lord more and better than themselves (Jn. 1:41-42), being “daring witnesses of the saving message of the Redeemer” (John Paul II, to St. Andrews School on its 20th anniversary), in order to "foment and maintain ecclesial unity as a witness before others” (Benedict XVI to the School of Evangelization on its 25th anniversary).

Founded in 1980 in Mexico by Jose H. Prado Flores (a Catholic layman) and Bill Finke (a Pentecostal pastor) with Fathers Emiliano Tardiff and Ricardo Arganaraz in the Dominican Republic, the school sought to form evangelizers using a tripod approach known as KE-KA-KO: KErygma. KArisma and, KOinonia. In 2010, the school celebrated its 30th anniversary.

The St. Andrew’s School of Evangelization has received the approbation of His Excellency Cardinal Juan Sandoval Iniguez, Archbishop of Guadalajara, Mexico. He named Father Luis Alfonso Zepeda Martin del Campo, the ecclesiastic assessor of the Mexican episcopate, as its advisor in 1999.

The process to obtain pontifical approbation for the School has begun as well.

In 2011 a School of Evangelization was established in the Diocese of Little Rock.
