January Mission

St. Joseph is hosting a weekend mission January 6-8, 2012. Maria Vadia, a powerful speaker and author, is expected to lead this mission. God is such an amazing God, and there is so MUCH potential for this mission that we want to start covering it in prayer now!!
Our goal is to have this mission covered in prayer a minimum of one hour each day until the weekend arrives. We are asking all parishioners to consider committing to one hour of prayer prior to the weekend. This is a one-time commitment…you pray for an hour, and you are done! Of course, we would love you to commit to more than one date if you can!
We can play such a big role through prayer! Prayer is such a gift…to ourselves, to God, and to others.
We have set up a “Meal Train Calendar” for us to use to coordinate the date you would like to commit to your prayer. Obviously, we are not cooking for anyone (:, we are just praying! Please ignore any references to meals on the website. All you have to do is click the link, and click on your date of preference. In the “meal” line, just enter “prayer”.

We have had many commitments for October, but still need many for November and December.
Thank you for your commitment of prayer for our parish! May God bless each one of you!
Just an update about the January mission, “Come Into His Presence”: We are in the process of setting up online registration and hope to have it “up and running” within the next few days. Just keep checking back at this site. Also, “Thank you” to everyone who has signed up for an hour of prayer for the mission. We know that God has an abundance of blessings in store for those who “Come Into His Presence”!
Online Registration is now available! Get out of this link and return to the church’s homepage; then click on the link at the TOP of the page, “Mission Information”. This will take you to a page of information about the mission. At the bottom of that page you will see “Online Registration is now available: Here”. That will take you to the online site. Thank you for your patience as we’ve worked to get this set up. Early registration is encouraged as the mission is being advertised throughout the diocese.
It’s not too late to register. We will take meal count till Thursday noon. After that, we won’t turn anyone away on Saturday…. lunch just won’t be guaranteed. Come receive a touch from God.
